"In competitive cheerleading, I would say, the best thing is for you to be well-rounded. Because it's really easy to come into the gym at try outs and be an awesome tumbler or a great stunter, or an awesome jumper. It's very, very hard to be everything. Because dance is so involved, it's how high your jumps are. It's how athletic you are. It's how much stamina and ability to run through two and a half minutes of doing all sorts of things. And so all of that comes into play in what we consider to be a great cheerleader, and it's versatility. In college cheerleading, we were asked to get up six o'clock two or three nights a week in the morning, and work out for an hour or an hour and a half, and then meet again everyday throughout the week Monday through Thursday at four and run with the team, and then have practice for three hours, so. And then on top of that, every weekend was a game and once you get into basketball season, there's two or three games a week. Not to mention the time it takes to prepare your body to look like a college cheerleader. Put the face tattoo on, find out where you put your pompoms last night, all of that kind of stuff. So, it's really intense. All-star cheerleading, it depends on where you are and what gym you're with because, and how effective your coaches are as to whether they make you come into the gym two or three times a week, or like here, we meet one time a week for two...two and a half hours, and then optional tumbling one time a week. So, you know, we just get a lot out of 'em in the two hours that they're here."
