"I am Joe Dunlap, I am a consultant and I am an instructor with Steven Henegars College and Business, and today we are going to address the correct way to write an address on a envelope. And the process is very simple. The first line should be the person to whom you want to send the envelope. That is the most important person that you want to have noticed, and so that should be in the first line. So if you want to send an attention, send that to the person as the first line. The next line should be reserved for either the job title, if you have that job title, and if not start with the company's name. Remember that as you put your address in it should be in a block format with about everything justified to the left side so that as you read it you can follow the instructions. The next should be the address of the company that you are sending it to. Followed by the state, city and state. The final should be the zip code. Remember the zip code is for the postal worker, and not for the people in the office. And that is the reason why you want to make sure who you are sending it to is at the very top. That way they are the ones that are going to receive the envelope, and your message. Instead of sending it through the company, and having it passed around until somebody notices who it is sent to the attention to."
