"There are a broad range of careers one can pursue in mass communication. Some of them are more traditional and standard, and some of them are more innovative in going in new directions. The most traditional ones would include a radio station or a television station, or a cable TV, channel or network in some ways, even working for an advertising agency whether it's putting together billboards or websites, those are all forms of mass communication. So, there are many careers one can pursue in the actual communication industries, everything again from advertising to radio to cable TV, the many types of websites. But many people would have mass communications degrees don't always pursue mass communication careers. They can find themselves in any broad number of public service, of industry. I have of, I know if you can see it or maybe we can get a shot of it, I'm havin' a poster on my door, hundreds of jobs, actual jobs that people have with communication degrees that in some ways are based on their mass communication training. It could be a news paper reporter, it could be a theater manager, it could be a city transportation coordinator, it could be a director of tourism, it could be disc jockey, it can be a job court administrator, a booking agent, there are literally hundreds of jobs. Some are more in the media, whether it's a radio station or a TV station. Some are more in other businesses, in public services, in a broad range of other ways in which people need to communicate with the public."
