"I'm William Perkinson. I'm here to tell you how to change legs on couches. Now, I've already tilted this one back but we did pull it out from the wall just to look enough so that we can roll it around to its back gently, you want to use safe lifting techniques. But once it's on its back all four legs are exposed and the good news is that 90% of these types of couches, the legs are just twisted on so to remove 'em, you grasp it firmly and turn it counterclockwise, and a couple of jilt and turns and they begin to spin freely. Now, there are exceptions to every rule and somebody, some manufacturers probably made one with the leg turns clockwise so after giving it a couple of good twists and it doesn't begin to spin freely, you may need to go the other way. But just a couple spins and it's out, like this. You have various styles of legs that are available on line or at your local retailer. These legs are not exposed, they got a skirt on the sofa so you don't have to worry about being decorative and save you a little bit of money but they're pretty uniform. The screw is generally a uniform size. You want to make sure though, take the old leg with you when you're looking at the purchase replacement leg, a lot of places will have it when you can screw into a hole to make sure or generally get a bolt, you can tell it's a big, fat bolt, it's obvious. But anyhow, the new one will screw on just like the other one will screwed off. Most of the time you don't need four brand new legs , some sort will come as five. You probably just be replacing one or two to get it sturdy again so you're not embarrassed when you come or comes over and the sofa moves but it goes back the same way it came off, put it back in the hole, keep it straight, couple of jilt turns to make sure the threads are lined up, you don't start stripping it and then just continue twisting, and it should begin to get snug as this one is and then you want to turn about a quarter turn passed snug, and you're in good shape. We'll test all the other legs, put it a lose with wear around the sofa and you should have a pretty sturdy sofa in just no time. I'm William Perkinson and that's how to change a leg on a couch."
