"Alright, to determine whether or not you need to replace the tires, and this is an issue that you need to take very seriously, tire tread has wear bars that are molded into the tire, and these are bars, just a solid lines that go across the tread, tire tread so they're going to go horizontally across the tire tread. If you can see these wear bars, your tire's are worn out. Another way to test the tire is to take a quarter. We used to say to take a penny, but now we say to take a quarter, and if you put the quarter into the tire tread and you can see the top of the mans head that's on there then the tires are worn out, so again, you need to look at tread depth. So we usually want about four-thirty-seconds of tread depth on a tire then it should be replaced. Tires today are not like the tires of yesterday where you could wear them down a little smoother and not have them come apart. The modern radial tire that we use today won't come apart as you've probably experienced on a lot of our roadways when you see the tread casings tossed out on the road, that's from the tire that came apart because it wasn't replaced when it should've been replaced. And this is also a a the cause of accident and or some personal injury and lot of property damage as well all over a tire, or set of tires that wore too far."
