"This is financial advisor, Patrick Munro, talking about how to gain an investment club membership. We, as Americans are a social group and many of us don't want to invest on line, many times we like to invest as a group and get together, together with other folks and make joint decisions and pull our money, and this is what an investment club is. There are several in your community and you can go on line to find out where they are and where they meet. So, you can go to several and find out one that you feel comfortable with and once you decide to join, they have certain levels of capital commitment and certain charter and rules that need to be followed to be a successful member of the group. And once you're interviewed by the board of the group then you will gain an investment club membership and be able to work within that club, it's an enjoyable experience. Many times there are social activities that go along with being a member of the investment club but ultimately the charter is to pull money and make money investing in the stock market. This is financial advisor, Patrick Munro, talking about how to gain an investment club membership."
