"Hi, in this clip I'm going to show you how to shift gears on a motorcycle. Now this is a sports bike so it's going to differ from riding a Harley or a Chopper or some other bike. But on a sports bike typically, you are going to have first gear as one click down and then you are going to have neutral which is in between first and second so it's like half a click up. Now the way you shift gears on a bike is you have a clutch here and when you are riding along, you are going to start off in first. So you are going to be revving it, you are going to be letting the clutch out and moving slowly and then when you need to shift what you do is you just pull the clutch, move your foot up same thing, next thing you are going to rev up, Tac is going to go up to about 6,000 RPMs pull the clutch, drop off the throttle, shift the gear up, all the way up until you are in the next gear so that is basically how you shift. Now I'm going to show you exactly how it is done. I am going to go through each particular gear so that you can get an idea of how this is done. Alright so here you are in first, riding down the street, Tac gets up to about 6, or whatever, you drop off, pull the clutch, click up, you are in the next gear. You are going to let the clutch out slowly, put some throttle back on and then you are going again. Get up to about 6 or 7,000 and you are going to get up to third gear, drop the throttle a little bit, pull the clutch, pop it up to third, let out the clutch, put in some gas, same thing. Going up to fourth, clutch, fourth, there you are letting it out. Next one, clutch, gear up, let it out and then you are in your final gear. So that's basically how you shift gears on a motorcycle. So now let's see it in action."
