How Do Computer Programmers Work?

"Hi my name is name is Dave Casuto, and I am th director of San Francisco Computer Tutors here in San Francisco, California. So in this video we are going to talk about how do computer programmers work. Wow, what a question. Computer programmers can work in any type of environment, but they like to work in clean environments, and very quiet environments so they can think. Programming takes a lot of concentration. So they can work in an office environment, working in cubicles, they can work in an office. They can also work at home, there has been a lot of telecommuting these days, because of computers with the Internet you can go ahead and communicate all of your work load through the Internet, through email, through shared servers, etc. So that's basically how they work. And they also work in teams most of the time. Because there has to be a development team, a design team, they might be working with marketing, they will be working quality assurance team, they work with programmers, can vary in so many different levels. And of course they have managements where other things come from. And they also have clients that they are working with as well. And a lot of times they are going to be working as independent contractors, maybe not necessarily working for a company. So just like any other position it's going to really vary, but programmers definitely need a quiet space so that they can focus, and really not make too many mistakes. Because they need to bring out that software to you and your home."
