"Bookkeepers help small businesses keep track of their transactions and prepare basic financial statements. Bookkeepers also help companies pay their bills, pay their employees and collect from their customers. Bookkeepers have educational experience as well as work experience to prepare journal entries during the month and post to sub ledgers and general ledgers and to do the close every month. So for businesses that are relatively small in terms of volume of transactions and relatively straightforward and non-complex types of transactions and financing. So for smaller companies that don't have a high volume of transactions and have relatively straightforward and non-complex types of transactions, take advantage of bookkeepers work and education experience to help out with the accounting."
