"So now that you've applied for a job, the waiting game has begun, right? Well, I'm Shannon Terry and I'm a resume writer and interview skills coach with Resume Confidence here to give you some ideas about what can you do after you filled out that job application. I'm going to recommend that you don't just sit idly back; there's a couple of things you can do. I would recommend first of all a follow up phone call within two or three days of dropping off your application or whenever the manager or whoever you spoke to told you that, to check back. Make sure when you call back you keep it brief and just make sure you reinstate that you are interested in the job. On a similar vain, you can stop by and ask to see the manager and do the same thing, follow up how the things are going, "I'm still interested"; just real casual and brief. If you do that in person, make sure of course that you dress appropriately and that you have a neat and clean appearance. Third thing I would say is just keep looking. It's always good to have options.
