"We are talking right now about hard drive enclosures. Usually there are, there are really two, maybe three types of enclosures you'll ever seen when dealing with a hard drive. This first example is the pretty typical example that you'll see where you have these pins on the side of the hard drive that lets it slide in and lock into place within your case. This is true for most after-market cases and hard drives as well as even some prefabricated machines that you'll receive. This example right here is a little more antiquated. This is Dell's idea of a joke really where the hard drive actually screws into a metal frame that then locks into the case and screws in place there as well. These are a little more frustrating to deal with because they're not as easy to get in and out and when you are in a hurry sometimes you don't have the patience to deal with this but this is another example of a hard drive enclosure. This right here is the more fun example of a hard drive enclosure. This is a 250 gigabyte external hard drive. As you can see there on the back you can either use FireWire or USB. It has its own separate power source so these are really good for storing data off of your machine or off of the server and they are very transportable so you can move them between locations relatively easily for any kind of data migration or backup sets you might need so those are the real simple three types of hard drive enclosures that you should ever see."
