My name is Miranda Chook, a CPA. Cash flow statements are one of the required financial statements required by GAP. A cash flow statement shows the user's resources and sources and uses of cash. The three main categories of the cash flow statement are the cash used by or provided by operations, investing activities and financing activities. And cash flow notes or cash flow footnotes, there are requirements by GAP as far as certain disclosures and the common ones are that you will see separate, separate line items as a footnote to the statement. Cash paid for taxes and cash paid for interest, and usually, this would be interest paid on on debt. But if there has been interest paid on taxes, as part of penalties for example that will usually get included there as well. Another common disclosure would also include any changes or any activities in investing and financing that effected assets and liabilities but did not necessarily result in any cash process or cash receipts.
