"Hi this is Athena Reich and I am an actress, singer, songwriter and performing art coach here in New York City. In order to become a kid movie star, well all I know is what I did. I started doing TV and commercials and films when I was 12 years old professional and I started by taking acting classes when I was nine years old, to take private acting lessons and group classes, getting my parents to get me a reputable agent which is key. This is a great book, "The New York Agent Book" they have in LA version and this lists every reputable agent in New York and you can contact them. So get a really good agent and take acting classes and make sure your parents are willing to either schlep you around or that you are old enough to get around yourself, that is basically it, take classes, get a good agent and audition."
