"Hi, in this lesson we'll learn a great cool bluesy lick in the key of E minor. It's in the twelfth position using the E minor blues pentatonic scale. Notice the hammer-ons and pull-offs as we go through the lick. I'll play the lick two times for you, let's listen at full tempo. Okay, let's break this one down. This lick uses the E minor blues scale up here in the twelfth position. The first half is a repeating eight note pattern, and the second half descends naturally down the rest of the scale. Let me show you what I mean. You're going to start off with your pinky on the fifteenth fret on the first string. You're going to pull-off to the twelfth fret with your first finger. Second string with your fifteenth, on the fifteenth fret, go back up to the first hammer-on and pull-off again. So, those are the first eight notes. The next set of eight notes is the second half, you're just going to pull-off and go down descending the rest of the scale. Let me do it again for you, this time with a slow half speed back end track. Two, three, four."
