"Okay guys, Dan The Wolfman here, saying, side mount, or your take down, and you want to get to mount. Put the knee across the belly, keep that shin tight, go out, right away arms wide, like Spiderman, so he doesn't bridge you off. Big guys going to try to throw you, you keep your weight, you balance your weight. And right away, sit up high on him, bring those knees up to his arm pit when you want to do some serious striking. I like to base for 5 to 10 seconds first, and then come up and hammer the guy. Sometimes I often take them, just sit up right away, get high with your knees up in his arm pits, it's better for striking. We're going to go down with punches, I like four punches all the way;1,2,3,4. Drop the hand on the mat, three elbows, you can go to your key locks from there, you can stand up and kick him in the face from there, it's a lot of good stuff to do. Here, here, he defends, you can take your top wrist action from there, up back off to side mount, finish the role, lock wrist lock from there. If the guy grabs around you, and he's defending the mount this way. One thing I like to do, like for the streets, if they were on concrete, this is a going to be a bad day for them, you can kind of jump up, and smash his face down to the ground; boom, do chest butts. You can jump up a little bit, and bash his face into the ground, great thing to do. Also, if he hugs really tight, you can't really hit him, it's hard to hit him. Maybe you can elbow the top of his head, since we're talking street self defense here. You can do side elbows, palm on top of his head, and bring your elbow in this way. Sit up, bam; sit up, bam. Wherever he hides his head, if he hides this way, sit up, bam, smash it that way. You can strike with all these different elbows. Side elbow is really good, a little technique no one is really doing; go here, and just pop that elbow in. Okay. So that's what you do from the mount. To really get the guy, frame his neck, blast him out of there, bam; get up and get out. That's how to finish the guy from the mount on the street."
