"Moissanite is a stone that was synthesized by Cree Research out of Greensboro, North Carolina probably about fifteen years ago. And the first thing they did before they introduced Moissanite to the market is they put up for sale to all the jewelers a special piece of testing equipment to test the difference between diamond and Moissanite, because they claimed that you couldn't tell the difference. Well, basically it was a terrific marketing ploy, because they sold thousands of these little machines before they even introduced the Moissanite itself to the marketplace, and the machine, cost of machines was fifteen, sixteen hundred dollars. So they probably made more money selling machines, testing machines, than they did the actual product. The product itself does not look like diamond at all. Besides that it's extremely expensive and it's kind of yellow, particularly the first several production runs was yellow. So, I wasn't impressed, never did carry it. Exactly, I mean, why would you want something that was not naturally occurring, especially when the difference in the price isn't tremendously great. The Moissanite, as a for instance, a pair of one carat Moissanite studs I think was around eight hundred dollars, and you can get a pair of natural diamond studs, one carat, for, a good pair for eighteen, nineteen hundred dollars. So, over the course of that many years, I mean, you're going to enjoy it forever, so why not go with the real McCoy that was made in the earth millions and millions of years ago."
