"Let me tell you about the different colors of diamonds so you'll know. Diamonds occur naturally in nature, in generally white is the predominant color. As they become yellower, the price decreases. The yellow is based upon the surrounding strata when the crystal grew. If if were yellow chemicals and slash minerals in the surrounding soil, then they would leech in to the formation of octahedron, the crystal, the diamond crystal. And then sometimes you would have blues and reds and some greens and other colors which are extremely rare for those other colors to come in. The most expensive diamond ever sold was a red diamond that wasn't even a karat and it sold for nine hundred and eighty thousand dollars. So on a per karat basis, priced per karat that was the most expensive diamond ever sold. And then of course you've heard about the Hope Diamond which is a big large forty karat blue diamond. But to answer your question about the champagne diamonds, they are basically yellow diamonds that have a little touch of brown. And because of the intensity of that color, they could be fairly pricey."
