Thinning House Paint for a Paint Gun

"Let's talk about thinning paint for the paint gun. Here, we have water based; here, on this side we have oil-based product. For a water based product you're going to use a Flotrol which is a a thinner and a paint conditioner; also makes the flow better in a gun, and perhaps some water to thin it to the proper consistency. For oil base, which is this can, we have Penetrol which does the same thing as Flotrol but it's for oil base, and then paint thinner which would be water in the water base section. Mix these products very well together; not the oil and the water base products together, thank you, just separately. Whether you're using oil base or water base mix them very, very well, and put them in your gun and spray away. A thinner tip for a lot of people who may still use oil base products, and recycling your thinner is a really good thing to do. I take my used thinner from the end of the day after cleaning brushes and whatnot in pans, and simply with a funnel I would pour the dirty thinner into a can that's labeled recycled, and allow that to sit when it's filled for up to a month, or two, or even a year, and as it settles all the sediments, all the sludge goes to the bottom. And then, when you get a nice empty container of your fresh thinner you just simply take your funnel and put it in the empty container. Pick this up very carefully and not jiggle it around too much, and then pour off the fresh thinner into the new thinner container."
