"Hi, I'm Casey Atkinson with Willie Driving School here in Logan, Utah. Now, imagine you're in this scenario: You're driving on the road, going the speed limit, and everything's fine, and you notice some jerk behind you is just getting fresh at the back of your car. It's called tailgating, and it's annoying. It causes road rage, at least for me. So what do you do? How do you avoid this guy? Well, first things first, don't try to teach him a lesson. Don't slam on your brakes. I mean, sure, if he hits you, he pays for the damage, but you also get a reckless driving charge, which is going to be a lot more. So don't do that. Just keep going the speed limit. Hopefully he...he'll pass you. But if he doesn't and he keeps on get...just following you way too close, pull over to the side, let him go by, and then keep going. Now, let's say he has chances to pass you and he still doesn't, he just follows you right behind you the whole time, I mean, just call the police. It's as simple as that. Just say, "Hey, this guy's getting fresh with me the whole time. Can you do something about it?" And hopefully, they'll take care of the problem."
