"Hi, this is Casey Atkinson from Willie Driving School here in Logan, Utah. So imagine you're driving on the road and, all of a sudden, you realize your gas pedal is to the floor and it's stuck like that. What do you do? First things first, do not reach down and try to unjam it. That's not going to be good. Your head's going to be a permanent part of this place right there. So what you want to do is put it into neutral. That will cancel out the gas. And then once it's in neutral, you want to slowly pull over to the side of the road. Make sure you check for traffic, check your blind spot, signal. Don't just swerve over there wildly. Pull over slowly, coast to a stop, use your brake, slow down nice and smooth. And then once you come to a stop, turn the car off completely, and then you can worry about pulling the gas pedal and things like that. But while you're driving, don't try to worry about it. Just drive safely. Stop the car, and then worry about those things. But a good thing to remember is the brake is always stronger than the gas pedal. So if you use the brake, it should slow the car down enough. So hopefully it never happens to you, but in case it does, you'll know what to do now."
