"The Great Wall of China. It intrigues us. Tourists go to see it all the time. It is one of the few things that can be seen from satellite photos and outer space. It is long and it is very famous. What people don't know is that there were several walls that were built and they were built to help protect the boarders of the northern part of China. Several different walls were put up and finally during the Ming Dynasty the wall that is the current one that people go to visit and it is over 4,000 miles long and was built and so many many people died in the building of this wall that I think sometimes we take for granted some of the things that are there and we don't realize what it took for people to build it, the time, the amount of human sacrifice that went on to get these things done because this is a very large undertaking."
