"There is definitely a way to display photographs and family memories without having that feeling of 'Oh my gosh I just walked into grandma's house', and there are fifty five by sevens on the end table. I think we all know what that looks like. So I would say you definitely have to dwindle down the pictures and the photographs, and I feel like the pictures and photographs should resemble either some of your most memorable times, or something that truly makes an impact and compliments the room. Most people have enough space that they can throughout their house incorporate pictures. So my first suggestion would be to look at your photographs and decide what would truly make an impact. So if you have a family photograph that's maybe in color, and maybe you have it made into black and white, so it truly compliments a room. Or you have a picture that has very strong pop colors that accent a room. So dwindle down your pictures that you want to use in a certain space. My second suggestion is to cluster them together. So if you were able to create a story withing a certain cluster of two to three frames that really add to the room, and draws your eye to a certain spot, and you can tell a story from a certain spot. That is a great way to use family photographs. And my last suggestion would be add some height and some depth along with the frames. So pick out frames that are not going to take away from the photograph. They usually typically should resemble that of the wood that of the furniture that you have in the room. And then add some heights. Maybe you put one picture on a stack of books, and you pull another one down, and then you add a random candle, or a knick knack or something that kind of pulls it all together as a cluster, and makes sense."
