"Hi, my name's Kayti Brosnan. I'm a registered nurse in Austin, Texas, and I'm going to talk about the cure for tapeworm infections. There is a particular medication that is toxic to the adult tapeworm. This is Biltricide, as well as Albenza. And so what these things do is actually kill the adult tapeworm, but the egg that was produced by the tapeworm can potentially be left behind, so it's important to remember that you actually can be reinfected after you've taken these medications. There's another kind of...there's a couple of home remedies, but one in particular is using coconut. And what you do is you grind up the coconut and you take a tablespoon of this at breakfast. And then three hours later, you want to take castor oil. And you're going to take 30 to 60 milliliters of this, which is like, you know, a cap-full. And you're going to put it in 250 mils of lukewarm water or...I'm sorry, lukewarm milk and drink that. And you want to repeat this once a day until the tapeworm comes out. And so kind of what you're doing with this is helping the tapeworm detach from the side of the intestine, and then you're not really giving it something to grab back on, and then it dies and it comes out. So...but it is important to know that there are eggs that could be left behind, so you always want to wash your linens, wash your sheets, have really good hygiene, wash after going to the bathroom and before you eat. And those are some of the ways to cure tapeworm infections."
