"Hi! My name's Kayti Brosnan. I'm a registered nurse here in Austin, Texas. Today, I'm going to tell you how to get paid donating plasma. Donating plasma is like donating blood except what they do is they take the plasma out of the blood and they return the red blood cells back in to your body. So, they're just taking the plasma portion out. There's a couple things in order to get paid for donating. First thing, you need to make an appointment at your local blood center to donate. Let them know I'm interested in donating plasma. They'll ask you a ton of questions, you'll go through a physical , they'll do lab work and then if they determine that you're a good candidate for donating plasma, then they'll move forward. So, this first appointment might take about 2 hours. And the appointment from there on out will probably be about 40 minutes to an hour. And each time you go, a lot of, a lot of places do incentives, so on one visit you're getting paid anywhere from 20-30 dollars a visit and you can usually go up to two times a week. So, you're making anywhere from 40-60 dollars a week and they usually do some sort of an incentive so you go on Monday, they'll pay you 20 bucks but if you come back on Friday, they'll pay you 30 bucks. So, you'll be getting an average of $25 a visit. Some of them also have bonuses for referring and how long you're with the program. So, that's the basic way that you can get paid to donate plasma."
