"Good afternoon my name is Tom Brintzenhofe, Certified Master Mechanic out of Reading, Pennsylvania and today I'm going to talk a little bit about dual exhaust and does it increase your gas mileage. Typically I would say not really. Dual exhaust is basically used for increased performance. A lot of people use it they put it on their vehicles strictly for the noise effect. A lot of people love that actual tone versus the stock exhaust which is nice and quiet and who really wants a sports car with quiet exhaust but mainly dual exhaust is basically just used for performance reasons. It can increase your gas mileage but really maybe 5, 10% tops. You might see yourself getting an extra one mile per gallon but overall it is not typically used for that but like I said dual exhaust is basic performance. You might get a little bit gas mileage but not much of an increase but it is basically just for noise effect and performance but hopefully that answers your question on will dual exhaust increase my gas mileage."
