"You know, in times of emergency or disaster, it would be essential that you be prepared and stock supplies. Hi, I'm Captain Joe Bruni, and what we're going to talk about is stocking emergency disaster supplies. Something as simple as a hurricane or complex as a hurricane, depending on your point of view, would be something that you want to prepare for when it comes to stocking emergency supplies. Some of these emergency supplies would, first and foremost, have to be stored in some type of a container. Now, the container should be dry, but it also may be important to make the container waterproof. Something as simple as this cooler could be used as a waterproof, dry container to stock your emergency disaster supplies for something like a hurricane. You're going to need food, warmth, and shelter after a hurricane. Along the lines of food, the first would be water. One gallon per person per day. If you do not have water readily available to be stored in your supplies, get emergency drops or water purification tablets that can be used to purify water where you may be able to locate water. With food, non-perishable food items such as canned or dehydrated, freeze-dried, or meals ready to eat can also become a part of the kit. When it comes to shelter and warmth, something as simple as this tarp could be used for bedding as well as using it for setting up a temporary shelter to keep dry from inclement weather. Stocking emergency disaster supplies is a very important thing to do prior to having an emergency such as a hurricane. I'm Captain Joe Bruni. Stay safe."
