"Responding to hazardous materials incidents is a complex task. If you ever wondered how you're going to receive the training for hazardous materials response, hi, I'm Captain Joe Bruni, and what I'm going to talk about is hazardous materials training that can be geared for the private sector as well as the public sector when it comes to obtaining this type of training. Again, hazardous materials training is a complex task. There are four different levels of hazardous materials certification. These certifications and training can be obtained through the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and other areas on the web where you can access hazardous material companies that offer these specialty types of training. The four types of certification are hazardous materials awareness, hazardous materials operations, hazardous materials technician, and hazardous materials specialist. The hazardous materials specialist level will focus on specific facilities that will handle such thing as cargo rail cars or tank farm facilities that handle bulk storage of liquids or other types of chemicals. Hazardous materials training is easily obtained through many of our governmental agencies and can be easily brought into a company, business, or public sector like a fire department or emergency medical response system. I'm Captain Joe Bruni, stay safe."
