"You know, emergency situations occur everyday and frequently in our everyday lives. Hi, I'm Captain Joe Bruni. Have you ever wondered how to make an emergency response plan? An emergency response plan can be designed not only for the work environment, office environment, or even for your home environment. Keeping in mind that most emergency response plans will involve medical or fire types of emergencies, but also, they could involve home invasion and robberies. Come up with your plan and exactly what steps you're going to take in an emergency response, whether it's focused on emergency medicine, or fire, or some type of burglary or home invasion. If you practice your emergency response plan, keep in mind that through training and through practice, when a true emergency does occur, the brain will take over and exercise what it has been taught and how it is to react. Coolness and a calm head in an emergency situation is the proper way to handle emergency situations at all times. The emergency response plan can be posted in the home or work environment and referred to in times of emergency. Being prepared is the key to handling emergency situations."
