"Men's African leather hats are used to signify the man's standing in the community, his religion and his occupation. Bush hats are very popular and they look like a fedora. It keep you very cool in the hot sun and they are very popular with the common man. Kufi hats are another very popular hat in Africa. They're used by African men to show pride in their culture. These hats are often worn with a Dashiki and can frequently seen at holidays and other celebrations. Arkino fashion hats are another type of fashion hat which are named after the region of Africa from which they come. They're wide brimmed hats which are conical in shape, are typically made from leather and other fibers. The hats are held on with a chin strap and are often very decorative underneath. These hats often signify strong standing in the community. Another type of popular hat in Africa is the Taposa hat. The originated in Southern Sudan. They are fitted caps typically made of leather and have small bead stones in a circular pattern. Taposa hats are only worn by men within the tribe."
