How to Remove Unsightly Facial Hair

"Today we're going to talk about how to remove unsightly facial hair, and there are a few different methods, and the first method that's most commonly used is people will go into a salon or spa and have their hair waxed. So, most people are aware of that procedure. If you're not familiar with it, it's simply by using what's called a depilatory wax on the skin, and then the wax is removed and the hair comes out with the wax. This typically will last anywhere from two to four weeks on any individual and has to be maintained at least monthly, or bi-monthly, depending on the place on your body that you're having this done, but on your face, typically two to four weeks. The second type of hair removal method would be to have a more permanent hair removal and that would be electrolysis. Electrolysis is using a small electrical current on the end of a needle that is inserted into the follicle and then burns the follicle, and basically renders it not working. So the third way that you could remove hair from your face would be to do a laser type removal. This removal also is considered permanent and it's pain free. It's very expensive. You do have to have multiple visits for this particular method. However, if you don't have dark hair, it is not an option for you. Then there is one more option, which I find a very nice option and that is not permanent. It's called threading. It comes from India. It's very interesting. What happens is the service provider will take a piece of thread and they'll fold it in half and twist it and they will use it to remove the hair around the eyebrows, or the face or the lip, or whatever, and you just kind of have to hold the skin taught like so and then the thread goes over the hair, and they can actually pull hairs out very precisely, one hair at a time, and give you a beautiful, beautiful shape to your eyebrows. So those are your four options for hair removal for your face."
