How to Be a Beauty Goddess

"Hi I'm Kim with Simply Beautiful in Austin, Texas. Let's talk a little bit today about how to be a beauty goddess. The first thing I want to say to you is beauty comes from within. You've heard that forever but it really does, it has a lot to do with self confidence and the way you present yourself to the world but in practical terms let's talk a little bit about great skin care, great makeup, great hair, clothing. It's all about image so take care of your skin, cleanse, tone, moisturize and then let's talk a little bit about makeup. So Alena we have already prepared her skin with our great skin care cleansing toning and moisturizer. We have given her foundation, concealer and powder just to give her a matte look and we are going to start with some eye shadow and we'll just make this quick and easy. Alena has beautiful blue eyes and I love to choose gold tones with blue eyes. You just want to give her a nice dusting of a neutral gold all over the top of her eyes on the lid up to the top. I'm going to use a smaller brush and a matte we are going to use in the contour, see in the contour of her eye. What this is going to do is this is going to deepen her eye but we are going to give her a natural look because beauty goddesses, well they're naturally beautiful. So a little highlighter at the top. Don't forget those brows so a little brushing and Alena has naturally dark brows so she doesn't need a lot of touch up but if you want to touch up your brows use a thin brush. I like using a pencil on my brush. You can use eye shadow if you want to but there are great pencils too. Just fill it in. That's really the frame of the face. We are going to use a little brown liner, close, just along the edge of the lash. For those of you not with a lot of experience just little short dashes. Look up for me Alena, thank you. We are using brown because it is a nice subtle color and we are going to blend. Look up. Blend the liner so it gives it a nice soft look, a quick coat of mascara. Middle distance for me please. Top, just the top edges, up. Alena has really extraordinary eye lashes. She is really lucky. We don't all get that. We are going to use a natural color blush, put some on your brush and tap it on your hands, start at the apple of your cheeks, right there. See what we have really done is just enhanced her eye and when we are finished with this Alena is going to feel like a beauty goddess because she feels so confident in the way she looks. So we are just going to use a nice gloss. This is a little pop of color and the shimmer in the gloss is bringing out the color in her eyes. Don't forget that old trick. So what we have done is very quickly and easily done a quick makeup but again the trick is feel good about yourself. Great hair, great skin, great makeup, great clothes, even if you don't have all that walk out as if you love yourself. Thank you."
