"Hi my name is Veronica Baragas with my wiggles and giggles dot com. And I'd like to share with you a little bit about getting a summer nanny job. Well if you are looking for a summer position, there are a few things to consider. I would definitely start looking and interviewing somewhere in like mid April to early May. A lot of the times families are going to definitely want to find out and know what kind of care they are going to have for their children. Sometimes you can check with a you know like elementary schools even and kind of do postings there if they allow it. A lot of the times if you know the parents are going to be out of care, or school or what not and so they are going to be looking for those summer positions. One of the places I would look is great au pair dot com. They offer a wide range of profiles as far as you know au pairs, live in nannies, summer nannies, part time, full time. So depending on what it is that you are looking for they can give you a wide variety of options. So definitely just plan ahead. Make sure that you stress and know that it is a summer job because a lot of the times you know if you are just looking for a job and you are like oh I'll tell them later, it doesn't always end up well. So make sure that they are only looking for somebody part time. And look into also one of the, a really cool thing is you can look for out of state or out of city summer jobs. A lot of times families travel to other places so you can look for something like that, maybe you are looking to get out of the city for a little bit. That's a really fun experience to do kind of a live in nanny position as far as summer goes. And you can visit some really cool spots. Take into consideration to as well, during the summer a lot of families like to travel so if you are not big on flying or things like that, make sure those are some of the things that you establish with the family to see if they are taking any family vacations or you know if you are even required to go on those family vacations. So do your research, look ahead kind of have yourself a little expectations list of what you are looking for and what kind of pay you are looking for and make sure that you kind of go in knowing what it is that you are looking for.
