"Hi everyone, I'm Russ Handler. Did you know that telemarketing is a multi-billion dollar business here in the United States? And you know we've come a long way since the old rotary phones where you had no idea who was calling. Now we've got these new fancy digital phones. They're sometimes wireless, sometimes they're even better than wireless, sometimes they're satellite phones. But the problem we run into these days is a lot of people are inundated by telemarketing. Lets face it, it is a big business, and if you want to get your phone off of the telemarketing database lists that are used by telemarketing professionals, the best and easiest way that I could suggest is the federal program. I'm going to look right here--make sure it's perfect--www.DoNotCall.gov. It's an excellent program; It's absolutely free. For free, you can register both your home phone number and your cell phone number. After about thirty days, you will then see your telemarketing calls disappear entirely. Many states have a typical program as well. So look into your state to see if that would apply. I'm Russ Handler and that's how you do it."
