"So the secret's out and you want to know how to calculate your two thousand and eight tax rebate check. Well, there really isn't any calculation. If you go to the IRS website, they'll show you guidelines for which you can, and it tells you the amount of money you will receive. Basically what it says is that you must make over three thousand dollars, and you must not make more than a hundred and fifty thousand dollars in order to qualify. If you're married, filing joint, you can receive up to twelve hundred dollars. If you're single, you receive six hundred dollars. And for those individuals who are head of household and have dependents, you get three hundred dollars for each dependent. And there doesn't appear to be any limit on the number of dependents that you can claim. But it's three hundred dollars per dependent, six hundred dollars per individual and twelve hundred dollars a group of people filing joint, two people filing joint, I'm sorry. Again, go to the IRS.gov website and it'll give you the schedule of payment for the two thousand eight tax rebate."
