"Hi, I'm Bruce Marshall, fashion designer and Emmy award nominated costume designer, here to show you a few ways of recycling some of your old clothes and making them new again. For instance, here's one trick that's always good and easy to do, and all you'll need is your handy dandy Clorox bleach to begin with. Say you have an old pair of jeans, like an old pair of Levis. What can you do with them? How can you doctor them up? Maybe you have a stain on them or something like that and you want to still use them, well here's a simple trick. You just lay them in the bathtub, very simple and very easy, you take your bleach, and you just like sprinkle it over it. You know, no certain pattern, no particular anything, you just dash it on and you let it stay there and pretty much stay for fifteen to twenty minutes. And once you do that, it'll get a bleach pattern similar to this. You know what I'm saying? You have it and you get the white spots, you get it, it makes it fresh, it makes it new, it makes it different. And then just make sure you run it through one cycle of your regular wash load to get the smell of the bleach out and make sure that it's set. And that's one way to create a new pair of jeans for something old that you've already had. Another way of doing something is one of my favorite tricks and that's called the old tie dye. And what you can do with tie dye, say you have an old, white shirt with maybe has some food stains that would never come out or something like that. Well you twist it basically, you know you do this little routine like that, you'll take a cord or a piece of string, you tie it up, you do this thing like this, you wet it, and then the best trick is you can already go to your store and buy a Rit dye packet. And you can do it any color you want because Rit has a full line of colors. And what you do is you just mix it, you throw it in the washing machine, you let it go through one cycle and you take it out, you still put it in the dryer with the cord on and when you finish with it, you'll come out with something tie dyed and beautiful just like that. So you have an old, white shirt that you just make new so that something else that you can use again. And also, tip number three, thinking about like Rit dye, which is really great, say you have black clothes that you've washed too many times and they've faded. Well all you have to do is just throw it in the washing machine with another package of Rit black dye and that will re-black it and bring it back to the way it was when you originally bought it. And the same with jeans. You just take the blue, the denim blue color and you just throw your old jeans through a wash and it'll fresh them up and make them look good again. So those are tips that you can do to recycle your clothes and make them all new and fresh again."
