"Hi, I'm Chris Bryce, from SuperService.com. Today, I'm going to talk to you about how to open RAR Files, that's R-A-R Files. Files with the extension of RAR, are compressed files, that are normally created on Linux Systems. In order to open those files, you'll need an uncompression software, similar to the Zip programs, that you'll find on the internet. Windows inherently has the ability to open Zip Files, but it can't process the RAR Files. In order to open RAR, you'll need a program similar to 7-Zip. 7-Zip is a free program you can get off the internet, that allows you to open those programs. There's also shareware versions of it available. Once you get to the point where you have a software on your computer, like 7-Zip, that can open the RAR Files, there's an option to execute the program, as part of your explorer shell, so that in opening my computer, or Windows Explorer, you'll be able to just right click on the file, and unzip it from there, or un-RAR it from there. Also, you have the ability on some of the programs, to create a RAR File, and this can be advantageous if you need to open the RAR File, adapt a file in there, re-Rarr it, and then send it off to someone else. That's how you open a RAR File."

on 6/30/2009 WinMount can mount RAR files on a new drive, so that you can use files inside it directly. There is no extraction time before you use them, and you don't need disk space to hold these huge files. WinMount saves your time and disk space!
Generally, if you want to use files inside a RAR file, you should extract it first. In most cases, it takes you a long time to extract a large RAR file, especially when it comes to extract a RAR archive with thousands of files inside and you need extra disk space to hold them. Now, with WinMount, everything will be changed!
