"Hi, my name is Veronica Baragas, and I'm with my wiggles and giggles.com and I want to share with you how to teach your toddler shapes. As you know, you can take a look around and see that there are many shapes all over, not just in flash cards coloring books and puzzles. So, this is something that you can start at an early age. From the second that they are able to see and recognize items and objects, you can, definitely, point out and continue to show them the triangles and circles, and what the sun is made of and so there's many different ways that you can show them. Not just, like I said, with puzzles and flash cards. So, usually, it isn't until they are about two years old that they really, really start to acknowledge, and recognize certain shapes. But, it's never to early to get them started, just like you do with colors and numbers, so they all, kind of, tie in together. So, if you're doing that you're doing them all at once it's a pretty good thing. So, just remember to take a look around, take them on walks, or just your every day use whether you're reading books, doing puzzles, you can start to teach them different shapes and sizes and all that it entails."
