"If you're like most students in the dorm you may not have a meal plan that covers every meal of the week, or you may be so busy in the evening that you miss dinner time in the dinning hall. That's not a problem! Today, I'm going to show you how to make dorm room dinners. Hi, I'm Alexa Sparkman, let's take a look at quick and easy dorm room dinners. Here's a simple idea. A microwave soup, and be sure when you're looking at soups to choose a the soups that are low in sodium and low in fat, and if you can get one that's high in protein that's a good idea too. Along with the soup pick a simple, pick a simple melted cheese sandwich in the microwave. Another idea would be picking a pack of meals, and you know the little seasoning packages that go inside? toss that in the trash, we don't need that. Cook the noodles and boiling water in the microwave and a package of tuna, and then add a package of cooked frozen vegetables, toss those all together with your favorite salad dressing, you've got a quick and easy healthy meal. And we always want a little bit of dessert, so try keeping on hand, fruit cups packed in their own juice, or fresh fruit is always a good option. It is easy to be tempted to head off to the restaurant with your friends when the dinning room is closed, but remember a low fat heart-healthy meal is really easy in the dorm. And these are ideas for healthy dorm room cooking. I'm Alexa Sparkman until next time."
