"Have you ever returned from class for lunch only to find the cafeteria's closed? Not a problem. Hi, I'm Alexa Sparkman, and today I'm going to show you how to make healthy dorm room lunches. First off, let's start with a simple peanut butter sandwich. A healthier option would be choosing a whole grain bread or a hundred percent whole wheat bread. Make sure the first ingredient says whole grain or whole wheat. When you're choosing a peanut butter opt for the natural peanut butters. They're more heart healthy and lower in saturated fat. And for a spread you can use fresh bananas or go for the pure fruit jellies. Another option would be a low-fat microwave pocket with a side of fresh green salad. You can make things simple too by choosing cheese and crackers, or topping things off with a microwave soup for lunch. Of course, you don't want to forget the dessert, and that can be something as simple as fruit juice packed fruit cocktail or a fresh fruit. A healthy dorm room lunch really can be easy. I'm Alexa Sparkman, until next time."
