"Hi, do you like playing checkers? My name is Dean Hale and I'm going to teach you a little bit about how to win at Checkers. As the old joke says, How do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice, practice, practice. It's the same thing with Checkers. The more you practice the better you're going to be. There are a couple of things that you need to know. If you have an opportunity to jump one of your opponents, you may do so. Doing so will capture the opponent and move you further along to the regular board. Your goal is to capture all of your opponent's Checkers. If you get to the other side of the board, you get to have piece put on and you get to have a king. A king can also move this way. Having kings are very important in Checkers as you can start attacking your opponents from behind their lines. One little trick in Checkers is that once you and your opponents, your opponent has lost three checkers, try to keep an odd number of checkers in each row. It may sound funny but play a little bit and you'll find out how that strategy actually plays out and works. So again, once you've lost three of your checkers and your opponent has also, try your best to keep an odd number of checkers in each row. If you see one row has two try to get a third one over there. Keep an eye and play out ahead. Try to play for moves ahead of time and not just play the move you're on. If you just play one move at a time you're going to end up losing. You want to play and plan out y out your moves and your strategy a little bit. Again, try to get involved in playing as many games of Checkers as possible will be helpful. Getting in Checkers clubs and different groups where you can play a lot of Checkers will also help your game. My name's Dean Hale. That's how to win at Checkers."
