"Hi, welcome back to Expert Village. My name is Cat Latrenta, and I'm a professional entertainer, and in this segment, we are putting together the sound equipment for our Irish show. Now, we've made the selection of the music, we've been in the studio, and we have our CD all completely ready, but now how do we go and front of an audience and play it? Well, you have to know the size of your audience. Is this karaoke machine, is that enough? Is it maybe fifty people, seventy-five people, then this would be OK. But, what I like to do is bring along my big boom box. This one here is the master. You need a CD player, and you need the cords to go from the CD player in to your sound machine. This is a hefty price, this here is about eight hundred dollars, but you can reach a hundred, hundred and fifty people. This one here is just karaoke machine, and it is about seventy nine dollars. So, what kind of performer do you want to be? And a lot of places that you go in to will have their own sound equipment. Wow, that brings us to another, even if they have their own sound equipment, I like to bring along my own microphone, and this is something you might think about too. This is my AKG. This microphone makes my voice sound like velvet. It's about three hundred and fifty dollars, but if you're getting in to the business, you've got to have good quality equipment."
