Summary: A spades card game tournament normally has 32 players, four rounds and a free registration. Put on a spades tournament in which each round is played to 250 points with tips from a card game enthusiast in this free video on playing games.
"Do ever play Spades? Would you like to put on your own tournament? Hi, my name is Dean Hale and I'm going to give you some information today about how to put on your own Spades Tournament. A Spades tournament would normally have thirty-two players. So, what you would do is have registration. Pick a registration fee, ten, twenty, twenty-five dollars per player, and when you come in you're going to have the team captain draw a number from one through sixteen out of a hat. That would be the team that they are on. When you have the two players on the same team, you sit them at other tables. You're going to have sixteen tables set up and what you're going to do is have four rounds of play that are going to consist of thirty minute rounds. Each round you're going to play to a point total of two-hundred fifty. If in thirty minutes the two-hundred fifty point total has not been reached, the team with the highest score is going to win that round. Now, with sixteen teams, you're going to play four rounds, so you're going to play down 'til you have the final two teams. The team that wins in the final round of the thirty minutes, is declared the Champion. The basic rules of Spades are going to be the same, as any other Spades game, except you're playing with a time limit rounds and you're playing to two-hundred fifty points per round, which is a little bit lower than usual, so make sure you adjust your game accordingly and know that you want to have a high point total very quickly. My name's Dean Hale and that's the basics for putting on a Spades Tournament."
