Summary: When playing the spades card game with two people, the cards aren't dealt, but rather are drawn alternately from the deck. Play spades with two people and learn about discarding cards with tips from a card game enthusiast in this free video on playing games.
"If you like...if you like spades like I do, let me teach you a new game to play. Hi, my name is Dean Hale, and I'm going to teach you how to play Spades with two people. Now, when you play Spades with two people, you don't actually deal the cards. You're going to place them down on the table into the draw pile. And you're going to take turns. The first player is going to pull a card, they can look at that card and decide to keep it or to discard it. If they discard it, the automatically have to take the next card that they pull up, regardless of what it is. If they keep it, they would then take the next card, look at it, and place it down in the discard pile. The next player would then do the same thing. They can look at the card, keep it, discard it. If they do, they have to keep the next card, or they can keep the first card, pull the second one, look at it, put it in the discard pile. This is done until the entire deck is exhausted and all players have thirteen...both players have thirteen cards each. At this point in time, the game is played the exact same way as a Spades game is played. You will decide how many...how many tricks you're going to bid, and then you play the same way. Remember, can't play your...can't play your spades unless that's the only thing you have in your deck and you lead it out. My name is Dean Hale, and you've just learned how to play Spades with two people. Have fun."
