Now finding a grant and applying successfully for it and getting interviewed are two entirely different things, but the best thing you can do is be prepared for after you've found it to apply for it and be successful. A few links that are handy for you to know about are the sba.gov, usda.gov also has some prime opportunities, commerce.gov and other US sites. There are other grant opportunity pages that you can find when you Google. CFDA, that's the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance, is actually very valuable if you know how to search on it. Take some time and learn how to maneuver in there. It's a very, it's a very good tool if you know how to use it. Also grants.gov. And once you find a handful of grants that apply to what you want, whether it's because of who you are or what you're doing or where you are, and make sure to utilize all those aspects, you want to have your information ready. Have your business plan ready, have your feasibility study for expansion, have your tax returns and have all your site information ready, have your parcel information, your taxes, your environmentals, your appraisals, have that ready for copying and to be ready to send off to these granters."
