Ok folks, in this clip, I'm going to teach you how to draw romantic anime. Now, what I would do first, is when I'm drawing anime, it's definitely good to keep in mind that it is very, very much a niche type of a drawing style. Mastering this niche is not at all easy. It takes a great deal of time and patience, and practice. What I would do, is I would really take the time to learn the certain character traits, that make anime, anime. For one, the eyes. The eyes on men and women are very distinct. Right now, I'm going to be drawing a girl's face, and her eyes are going to be simply humongous, and I really want them to be that way, because that's the style that I'm going for. Her nose on the other hand, will be minuscule. You can hardly even see that it's there, her mouth, the same way. Eyebrows, really allow yourself to be as creative as you want to be with that. Another distinct characteristic, the hair. Really take the time to study what you like, when it comes to anime hair. Preferably, establish where the face is going to be, come on down like that. It all depends also, on what it is you like. You are the designer, so feel free to add the details that you want. I'm just giving you basic ideas, here, but definitely you've got to show a certain degree of style, when you're drawing in the anime world. Then, I'm going to come over here, and I'm going to draw her companion. Guy's eyes are a little bit more, intense would be a word, I suppose, because they're not nearly as big, but they have a lot going on. There's a lot of life to them, and a lot of intensity, so we come up here and draw this guy's eyes, and eyebrows. Again, I'm not calling much attention to the nose or mouth, but definitely calling a lot of attention, to the hair, and why do they do this? I have absolutely no idea, but they absolutely love their hairstyles, so don't be afraid to go crazy. Now, this is like them against the world, is essentially what you're drawing here. Two star crossed lovers, trying to escape some sort of tragedy. It's all in the pose, all in the design, and you can make changes on the fly too. If you decide you want to make things look a certain way, feel free. Feel free to really get in there, and mix it up, and if you can wrap your mind around just the beauty and the romance, behind a lot of great anime styles, of drawing, you'll be well on your way, to drawing your very own romantic style anime.
