"Hi, I'm Chris Bryce from Superservice.com. Today we're going to talk about how to type faster. Now with typing, there's a couple of different ways to go about it. Some people are the hunt and peck style typers. Some people just have kind of an inherent ability to find the keys on their own, and then the others are called the home row typers. These are the typers that actually use the correct fingers on the correct keys for the home row which is A, S, D, F, for the left hand, and J, K, L, and semicolon for the right hand, while resting your two thumbs on the space bar. For those typers, the best way to type faster is just to continue to practice and practice. There are a couple of sentences that are used that are easy to practice on. One is "The girl ran through the grassy region." And the other is "A quick brown fox jumps." Either of those two sentences are easy to practice with on the home row style of typing. For the other style of typing, the hunt and peck style, or the just inherent ability to find where the keys are at, the best way to do is again just practice and practice. Try practicing first by looking at the keys, to know exactly what you're doing, then after a while you'll be able to look at the screen, or look at a piece of paper that you're transcribing, and not have to keep your eyes focused on the keys, and you'll be typing faster."
