"You've just received a citation for DUI and you are curious about what are the lesser included offenses of DUI. Hello, I'm Robert Todd and I'm here to answer the question what are the lesser included offenses of DUI or DWI? Well fist of all, this is going to vary from state to state and you're going to ultimately want to check the state statutes in the state in which you received the citation. But DUI is of course driving under the influence of either alcohol or some hallucinogenic substance, and DWI is driving while intoxicated. And in some states there's also a, or an offense known as OUI, operating under the influence. So again, I refer you to your particular state's statutes. But if you find that you are in a position where it is critical that you know what the lesser included offenses of either DUI or DWI are, I strongly urge you to consider hiring the services of a lawyer who specializes in traffic citation offenses and DUI and DWI and OUI. You'll be serving yourself well. I'm Robert Todd and thank you for watching."
