"Hi my name is Veronica Baragas with my wiggles and giggles dot com. And I'd like to share with you a few things of how to potty train girls. Now, this definitely is not an easy process, and it will be an ongoing one. It depends on your child, each individual case is different. Some pick it up right away, and others, it takes a little bit more time than anticipated. Just a few steps that I would start off with that you can use on a daily basis, is before your baby wakes up, you know, definitely talk to them about starting to use the big girl potty. And one of the things I like to use is lead by example. So, in this process, in the morning, what we would do is, I would recommend you sit on the potty first, and talk to them about what it is that you're doing, and then, once you're finished, tell them that it's their turn, and let them take the process, and show them and talk to them about what's going on. You know, you can maybe turn the faucet on, and make some little sounds, you know, but make sure that you stress to them that this is a normal part of the day. So kind of, you know, take it easy, nothing too exciting, but definitely kind of show them the process of how it works. So throughout your day, you know, I would ask them if they're ready to go potty, and even if you know, they ask twenty minutes after you have just gone potty I would take them. Some people use a reward method, and that can come further along, once they have kind of already gotten into the process of going potty and things like that. And definitely so throughout your day between, you know, wake up and bedtime, I would say every thirty minutes or so try to just give them a little reminder. If they've gone with two hours without pottying, that's a great sign. I would definitely try to get them to go every two hours even if they haven't gone or need to go. And kind of walk them into the process again. Before bedtime, and bath time, I would definitely try to get them back on the potty before bath time and kind of go through the same process as you did throughout the day, and just continue to work at it and talk to them about the process, make sure they know it's a normal part of the day, and once they get a little more consistent with their potty training, I would definitely add a reward system, and these are all things that you can definitely check out on babycenter dot com. So, if your little, you know, has a tend about what to do, or have any questions, you can definitely refer to that. So, good luck with your potty training a girl."
