Hi, my name is Windy St. George, and this is how to take care of teething rings. When you first take a teething ring out of the package, it usually needs to be sterilized. Read the package. If you can, you can put it in the dishwasher if it's dishwasher safe. Now this is just as hot as boiling water once you've run it through the cycle, and that'll sterilize your teething ring. Later, if it gets dirty, you can always just put it back into the dishwasher, but it's not necessary to do that every time a pacifier or a teething ring gets dropped. You can always just wash it with hot soap and water, and, that'll sterilize it enough for everyday use. You can also boil it if you don't have a dishwasher. So, put a pot on to boil. With a pot of boiling water, drop the teething ring or a pacifier into the water and boil it for ten minutes. Do not do this with water filled pacifiers or teething rings, and it can destroy them and make them pop. If you have a specialty teething ring, such as this, you have to...that's electronic...you have to be very careful and just wash it carefully with soap and hot water. You're not going to be able to boil or sterilize it in this case.
