"Hi. My name is Windy St. George, and this is how to comfort a teething child. Your teething child will be quite agitated and grumpy. They'll sometimes have redness or swollenness in the face, and they'll drool a whole lot, which is the main sign of teething. They can run a fever, but if your child is running more than 101-degree fever and the child is six months or younger, you should call your pediatrician to make sure it's not illness. The best thing you can do for him is to give him children's Tylenol, which will help bring down the swelling and keep any fevers down. You also can try different teething rings of gummy nature or of bumpy nature. You can also try a frozen vegetable or a wet and frozen washcloth, which will help keep them comfortable. You should also make sure that they have a bib on. And keep their face dry, so they don't get a rash from all the teething. And give them extra love and care while they're going through this difficult time."
